Research clearly indicates that children with a good sense of rhyme tend to learn to read with greater ease than children who lack such an awareness. Equally, story-telling is a wonderful way to develop children’s vocabulary, sentence structure and confidence. It is for these reasons we have put together several ‘Rhythm, Rhyme & Storytime’ collections. Each themed collection contains a range of exciting resources that once introduced, children can used for themselves during periods of child initiated learning. Although primarily intended to support work in Communication, Language & Literacy, the packs can be used to promote work on a variety of themes across all areas of learning.
